Trooping To The Food Bank
Brownie Girl Scout Troop #48 from Cornwall-on Hudson paid a visit to The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley recently as part of their effort to earn the “I Can Help Food Patch”. The girls collected enough food to feed a family of 4 for a day and donated the items to the Food Bank. A tour of the warehouse followed and the scouts asked many questions about how a Food Bank works. Troop Leader Caroline Yarton said “It is especially meaningful around the holiday season to educate the girls about hunger in our community and how they can help.” 
Our gratitude goes to Marianne Murray and Richard Rowley for their generous donation of funds used to manufacture boxes for the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. Among a multitude of other uses, Member Agencies appreciate these so much when they visit the warehouse to pick up fresh produce and bread. 
Mother Earth’s Storehouse shows its commitment to alleviating hunger in our community by donating $69,000 to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.
