Trooping To The Food Bank

image Brownie Girl Scout Troop #48 from Cornwall-on Hudson paid a visit to The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley recently as part of their effort to earn the “I Can Help Food Patch”. The girls collected enough food to feed a family of 4 for a day and donated the items to the Food Bank. A tour of the warehouse followed and the scouts asked many questions about how a Food Bank works. Troop Leader Caroline Yarton said “It is especially meaningful around the holiday season to educate the girls about hunger in our community and how they can help.”  image
