Walk to Fight Hunger 5K

The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley located in Cornwall-on-Hudson, hosted its 9th annual Walk to Fight Hunger on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Walkway over the Hudson in Highland. Participants who raised $25 or more received a locally-designed t-shirt. It was an amazingly beautiful Autumn day for the walk that raised over $14,000 to help feed the hungry.
The Food Bank serves over 370 feeding programs in six counties - Orange, Ulster, Putnam, Sullivan, Dutchess and Rockland - and last year distributed over 9 million pounds of food. This is a fun event and a major fundraiser for the Food Bank. The donations generated from this Walk will help the Food Bank to operate its 55,000 square foot warehouse and feed the hungry in our communities.
